With one of the highest poverty rates in the country, our Rowan County has one out of every four individuals living at or below the poverty level. We believe that it is our mission to support the ever-growing families in need. We strive to get people back on their feet and begin their lives once again. As Henry Ford says, life is a series of experiences. It is unfortunate that these families are temporarily suffering quite a setback, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Helping Hands guides these families toward the path that leads them to this sign of hope. Our organization is a non-discriminatory Christian organization that asks for nothing in return for its services. All that we ask is that you not only look into your interests but also to the interest of others (Philippians 2:4).
